A CONCERT of 17th century baroque music will be performed in St Catherine's church, Hoarwithy by Catherine King, mezzo soprano, and Frances Kelly, triple harp,on Saturday, September 26 at 7.30pm.

Entitled La Cecchina (The Songbird), Catherine describes the programme as ‘exquisite songs of love, passion and devotion from the courts of 17th century Italy and Purcell’s London.’

Although Catherine lives locally at Llangrove, much of her performing is international, so this is a rare chance to hear her close to home. Both of them are now at the top of their game, having established themselves as leading exponents in the field of Early Music and the

Baroque.
