THE guest soloist at Hereford Police Male Choir’s special Armed Forces Day concert at the Shirehall on Saturday, June 27 is Hereford girl Jessica Lloyd, a singing star on the world’s top cruise liners who earlier this year invited the Police Choir to sing at her wedding. She enjoyed the choir’s performance on her special day so much she offered to sing at one of their concerts.
This is 27-year-old Jessica’s chance to entertain her fellow Herefordians. The singer did a two-year course in musical theatre at the Hereford College of Performing Arts and has since travelled the world with her music. She has also been a support artiste on tours with big showbiz names including Duffy, Robbie Williams and recently with Max Boyce and has performed in shows from Australia to the Caribbean.
The Shirehall concert is the climax to a full day’s programme of entertainment and military displays in High Town to help raise awareness of Britain’s armed forces, including a fly-past by a World War 2 Dakota.
