LOCAL singer songwriter Clive John brings the Johnny Cash Roadshow to The Courtyard this April.
Malvern-based Clive stars as Johnny Cash in the biggest production of this show ever with the ‘Carter Sisters’ and the ‘JC Horns’. Jill Schoonjans also stars as June Carter, with Nick Davis on electric guitar and vocals, Martin Bentley on double bass and vocals and Darren Bazzoni on drums and vocals. This is the only tribute show to be endorsed by the Cash family.
The Johnny Cash Roadshow will perform material from throughout Cash’s career including Walk the Line and Folsom Prison Blues, to Hurt, Cash’s last release in 2002. There are many stops in between bringing the audience all the favourites, including Man in Black, Boy Named Sue and The Ring of Fire.
The chemistry of Johnny and June is also brought to the stage and the accompanying video projection brings evocative images to each song, to complete the story of the life of a legend.
