THERE will be an evening of seasonal songs, winter tales and merry music with Whitton Voices at St Michael's Church in Disoced on Sunday, December 21.

Whitton Voices is led by Sue Harris, a classically trained musician who switched from her original instrument, the oboe, to the hammered dulcimer. She has played with leading folk figures such as Albion Country Band and Richard and Linda Thomson. She is also a singer and has written music for choral groups. She'll have a little help from her son, Benji Kirkpatrick from Bellowhead and Faustus and is s talented multi instrumentalist with a penchant for strings; guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, banjo - all accompanied with an impassioned vocal performance.

Whitton Voices will be at St Michael's Church, Discoed, near Presteigne on Sunday, December 21 at 6.30pm. For tickets, £7, call 01547 550158. Proceeds to Concern Universal.
