PETERDyke, assistant organist at Hereford Cathedral, will once again be entertaining the crowds with Christmas Sparkle concert in Hereford Cathedral on Saturday
His 45-minute performance of Advent and Christmas favourites, a number of which are of his own arrangement and to which he has added his own seasonal twist, will start at 1.15 pm.
"Advent and Christmas is such a wonderful time of year," says Peter, "and it is a joy to be able to share some of the wonderful music there is with so many.
"It is always fun to see what twists of my own I am able to add into the programme, which will range from extracts from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite through to Howard Blake’s The Snowman."
Other events happening on Saturday at the cathedral include the Choir Association’s Advent Coffee Morning from 10 am and a Question and Answer session with the Rt Revd Richard Frith, the new Bishop of Hereford, at 3 pm.
