THE Saturday Café, the popular series of informal lunchtime music gigs at the Courtyard, is back this weekend after its summer break.
The new line-up kicks off on Saturday with the welcome return of the Ragtime Jug Orchestra featuring John Anderson and Alan Draysey on a variety of guitars, banjos, mandolins and kitchen items, playing genuine acoustic roots, blues and Americana.
Saturday, September 20 brings an appearance from the popular duo of Ann Duggan and Rob Hines with a seamless mix of country, folk, blues and roots, played with a powerful combination of energy, melody and lyricism. Classic Rock Magazine describe it as “Blue collar music at its best”.
Set to continue through the autumn, The Saturday Café is promoted by the Music Pool in partnership with The Courtyard, with support from Herefordshire Council. All sessions run from 12 noon to 2.00pm and admission is free.
