NICK Gethin, former member of the London Symphony Orchestra and teacher at Hereford Cathedral School, will be hosting a glorious concert of cello music in Dorstone Parish Church on Sunday, July 6 at 7pm.

Nick will play music by Vivaldi and Martinu, and some of his most outstanding pupils will also be playing – Augusta Lazenby, Rachel Roper and Rachael Kennedy playing Schumann, Faure and Brahms, while more cellists will join them for a multi-cello extravaganza of pieces by Stanford and Scott Joplin. Stewart Taylor, organist and former choirmaster of Holy Trinity Church will provide support on the piano.

Tickets (adults £8 in advance or £10 at the door, under 16’s £3) are in aid of the church.
