FOLLOWING their successful tenth anniversary tour, which included a special birthday party bash at Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Spiers and Boden, the top traditional music duo of the folk scene continue their journey into the exciting nether-regions of traditional folk music.
Loud, proud and with just a few acoustic instruments, they create a multitude of textures through which they present traditional stories and dance music which have taken them to the main stages of major festivals.
From playing grass-root folk clubs to main festival stages, the pair, twice awarded the BBC Radio 2 Folk Duo award, are also known for their involvement with award-winning folk band Bellowhead.
Spiers and Boden will be at The Courtyard on Sunday, May 18 at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
