Hereford Concert Society presents a programme of lute songs and music with Robin Blaze and Elizabeth Kenny.
Countertenor Robin Blaze is in the front rank of interpreters of Dowland, Purcell, Bach and Handel and his career has taken him to concert halls and festivals worldwide, having worked with almost every distinguished conductor in the early music field.
Elizabeth Kenny is one of Europe’s leading lute players. Equally at home in solo chamber music and the opera house, she combines a love of the lute repertoire with a flair for imaginative collaborations that enrich an unusually varied performing life.
The programme for the evening will include lute songs and music by John Dowland, William Lawes, Henry Lawes and Henry Purcell.
Robin Blaze and Elizabeth Kenny will be at The Courtyard on Thursday, May 8, at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
