THIS Easter weekend sees the return of The Troy Redfern Band to the Jailhouse, this time as the headline act at the venue's first dedicated blues night.
The Troy Redfern Band was formed in mid 2013 by Kington-based guitarist Troy Redfern and features local blues bass legend Stuart MacDonald. Stuart toured the UK with the late Freddie King, one of the biggest names the world of blues has known, and was a member of Free's Paul Rodgers' band Peace. Phil Greenhouse, who toured the US and Europe with Ex Iron Maiden's singer Blaze Bayley, plays drums for the blues power trio. Stuart says of guitarist Troy, 'He's one of the most expressive, inspirational blues guitarists I've played with'.
With local support from Herefordshire band Crowsaw who are just back from playing Hard Rock Hell's Blues stage in Pwllheli.
Blues Night at the Jailhouse runs from 8pm til late on Sunday, April 20
