RUDHALL Mill lies some three miles north east of the market and tourist town of Ross-on-Wye, the surrounding area comprising principally farmland, but with the noted country house, Rudhall Manor lying to the south west of the arboretum belonging to Rudhall Mill.

Originally a corn mill on the Rudhall Brook, dating from circa 1725, the current owners converted the mill some 24 years ago, initially for holiday letting, and subsequently for their own occupation in retirement, after a lifetime in farming.

The principal façade has a sunny south easterly aspect, whilst the French doors, windows and balcony adjacent to the garden room enable a glorious unspoilt outlook across the placid lake, island and arboretum to the south west.

The living accommodation is arranged primarily on three levels with a drawing room, dining room and garden room and five bedrooms in total. There are extensive garaging, workshop and utility/gym areas to the lower ground floor. Many of the ceilings are beautifully timbered, whilst certain of the massive structural timbers are wonderfully exposed in the two bedrooms on the top floor.

The large, broadly rectangular 300 foot lake has a tree planted central island, a haven for wildlife, whilst extending around the perimeter of the lake are a diverse range of carefully chosen deciduous and conifer trees, several being of a rare and exotic nature, and beautiful when in full leaf. Ducks and many other birds live on and about the lake, and even an otter has been seen, normally the most shy of creatures. The grounds are also planted with masses of spring bulbs.
