HEREFORDIANS are being asked to help save one of the world's most critically acclaimed choirs.
The 30 members of the Boyan Ensemble of Kiev, Ukraine, have been forced to put themselves in debt after the cost of their visas were doubled without warning - adding £6,000 to the bill for their British tour.
The ensemble will be at St Francis Xavier Church, Broad Street, Hereford, on Friday, November 16, at 7.30pm.
Organisers are asking people to come along and support the choir as they do not earn much money and most need second jobs to support their families.
The ensemble's UK representative Margarete Rolle said if they did not make enough money on this tour, it could be their last.
Tickets are available from Outback Records, Church Street, priced £14 and £12 concessions.
