FIREFIGHTERS fitted smoke alarms at a flat in Leominster after attending a cooker fire.
Last Friday at 5.30pm crews from Leominster and Kingsland attended a cooker fire in Etnam Street.
The flat was ventilated and two smoke alarms were fitted for free, as there were no alarms at the property.
A fire crew from Leominster also attended a ground floor flat in Church Street at 6.54pm the same evening.
The fire, which involved a portable heater, had been put out on arrival.
