THE network of walks around Dymock, known as the Poets' Paths, is to be expanded.
A new footpath will be officially opened with a walk on Saturday, July 12, starting at Preston Church at 10.30am.
A new map will be handed out, an app for phones or i-pads will also be launched.
The theme of the latest walk is "The Poets Cottages".
This is because, shortly before the outbreak of World War One, the Dymock area was home to several poets, including the American Robert Frost, and a favourite haunt for visiting poets, including Rupert Brooke and Edward Thomas, both of whom were to die in the Great War.
