Updated 11:52am Monday 12th May 2014 in News
HAY Festival promoters have announced three new events to an already packed line-up.
Multi-award winning comedian Lee Mack returns to Hay with his new stand-up show on May 24.
Another major event added to the programme is a special centenary celebration reading of Dylan Thomas’ work in the Josephine Hart Poetry Hour on May 31.
Readers include Rob Brydon, Tom Hollander, Cerys Matthews and Jonathan Pryce.
Meanwhile, the new Letters Live session, featuring Benedict Cumberbatch, Shaun Usher, Simon Garfield and friends has sold out in a day.
It became the second fastest-selling event in the festival’s history, after Seamus Heaney’s talk in 2006.
Cumberbatch, Usher and Garfield join together in a celebration of the enduring power of literary correspondence inspired by To the Letter by Simon Garfield and Letters of Note by Shaun Usher.
