A CONFUSING sign has been spotted by an onlooker in a Herefordshire town.

The roadworks sign, put up by Herefordshire Council’s roads contractor Balfour Beatty Living Places, is advertising an overnight road closure in West Street in Leominster, which was due to start last night. (Monday, November 14)

However, Rhi Pugh's picture shows a clear mistake with the dates. She posted the photograph along with the caption, "Does anyone else see something wrong with this sign?"

RELATED NEWS:

The sign suggests that the roadworks were due to start on Monday, November 14 at 8pm and finish at 6am on Sunday, October 30.

Members of the People of Leominster Facebook group commented on the mix-up on social media.

OTHER NEWS:

Duncan Tuck said that it was nice to know that Balfour Beatty had perfected time travel, while Aaron Dyche said that with the speed that some roadworks are dealt with they were bound to go backwards at some point.

According to Herefordshire Council's roadworks updates, overnight closures started on Monday, November 14 at 8pm will finish at 6am on Saturday, November 19.

Herefordshire Council has been approached for comment.
