FIVE roads in the centre of a Herefordshire town will close over a three-week period, Herefordshire Council has said.

The council said the five roads in Kington would be closed over a three-week spell from October 3.

In a public notice, the council said the roads need to be closed due to carriageway and footway resurfacing works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place.

It said that Church Street, High Street and Bridge Street would be closed for 10 nights, between 6.30pm and midnight.

Meanwhile, The Square and Market Hall Street would be closed for three days between 9am and 5pm.

The diversion routes for each closure would be signposted locally, Herefordshire Council said.
