HEREFORDSHIRE firefighters were called to several incidents in and around the county over the weekend.

A caravan in Newent was destroyed by fire reported at 4.46pm yesterday (June 9) leading to a response from both Ledbury and Ross-On-Wye Fire Stations. The area was dampened using a hose reel jet and all nearby gas cylinders were removed. There were no casualties or need for other emergency services.
The morning prior, at 6.58am (June 8), a crew from Hereford Fire Station were called to a pile of litter that had been set alight. It was extinguished using a bucket of water and the team left the scene at 7:18.
On June 7, part of a farmyard and household litter went up in flames at 10.47pm in Southend lane, Newent where crews from Ross-On-Wye and Newent were called to the scene. There were no casualties and no need for other emergency services on site.
