MEN at Work star Colin Hay will be a man hard at work entertaining, on May 1, in concert at Kentchurch Court in Herefordshire.
Scottish-Australian Colin Hay is probably best known for his time with 1980’s legends ‘Men
at Work’ – the platinum selling Australian band, who sold over 30 million Albums and topped
the worldwide charts with anthems like “Down Under,” “Overkill,” and “Who Can It Be Now?”
But his music, which has been featurred on the hit TV comedy, Scrubs, has found him a new audience.
A spokesman said: "We have most recently been reminded of Hay’s outstanding talent from his many appearances in US comedy series ‘Scrubs’ – which became and still is a staple of evening television in the UK and throughout the globe."
Although he’s one of Australia’s best-known exports, Colin Hay was born in Kilwinning, Scotland, and to this day remains hugely popular in the UK.
Hay has released nine albums since founding own label Lazy Eye in 1992.
Since 2003, Hay has worked on rebuilding his name recognition.
He said: "I went from playing for fifty
people a few years ago, to 500 and 1,000 seat venues. I’d like to speed it up a bit, cause I’m running out of life.
“But for the most part I’m happy to be on the road and still making music, and attracting
ever increasing audiences."
