HEREFORD manager Josh Gowling said that getting a clean sheet at AFC Telford United showed his side’s character.

Just two days after suffering a 4-1 defeat at the hands of AFC Fylde the Bulls played out a goalless draw at AFC Telford United.

“The lads after the result on Saturday to get a clean sheet away from home just shows their character,” said Gowling talking to Keith Hall.

“There were moments when we didn’t quite lock up on the halfway line with one player in front and one behind (the striker).

“That caused us problems at times. But we pushed (Ryan) Lloyd back in at left-back today to not be as expansive in wide areas and that has paid off quite well.

“Mitch (Hancox) coming on during the second half and pushing Lloyd into midfield just gave us that energy in wide areas as well.

“I was please overall.”
