It comes after WH Smith announced it would be extending its partnership with Toys R Us, with a further 30 'store-in-stores' by the end of this financial year.

"This follows a successful launch last year and will provide customers in these locations with an improved toys and games offer," said a WH Smith spokesperson.

"Driving efficiencies remains a core part of that strategy and we continue to focus on all areas of cost in the business."

WH Smith already has a post office within its Hereford branch after

Toys R Us returned to the British high street last year, with the retailer opening nine new shops within WH Smith branches., including ones in Cheltenham and Cwmbran.

At the time, WHSmith high street managing director, Sean Toal, said: "At WHSmith, we're always exploring new opportunities to launch exciting, new product ranges to our customers on the high street, and our partnership with Toys "R" Us certainly does this!
