THE MANAGERS at a Hereford pub have announced they will be leaving after six years running the popular venue.

The Spread Eagle in King Street has been run by landlord Anthony Rees and manager Charlie Allport, but in a Facebook page said they had handed their notice in.

As tenants of the popular pub, they said the pub would not be closing for good, but they would be leaving at the end of the year.

The pub said in a social media post: "All good things finally have to come to an end don’t they? Our time here at The Spread Eagle is ending, we have handed in our notice.

"This pub has become a massive part of all of our lives by the time we finally leave we would of been here six years. We are so so proud of what we have achieved.

"We want to thank all our customers that have helped us love this journey you all have been amazing and we really would not of been able to trade for as long as we could without you guys. You truly have been fantastic."
