A PAEDOPHILE has been jailed for three years for sex offences for offences involving a girl under the age of 13.

Thomas Worsfold pleaded guilty to two charges when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court.

The court heard from the prosecution that he had attempted to engage in sexual communication with a child and had also attempted to cause or incite a female child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

The 35-year-old paedophile's offences were committed between January and March last year, the court was told.

Worsfold, of Sutton St Nicholas, near Hereford, was jailed for three years for the offences at his sentencing on May 31.

He has also been added to the sex offenders register, and was handed a sexual harm prevention order. He must pay a victim surcharge of £228.
