A DRINK-driver caught out behind the wheel of a Maserati in Hereford has been taken off the roads and fined hundreds.

Nicholas Weaver entered a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the alcohol limit when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford earlier this month, on May 1.

The court heard from prosecutor Lauren Millichip that the 36-year-old had been caught out in Hereford’s Beaufort Avenue after getting behind the wheel of a Maserati while over the drink-driving limit on March 8.

An evidential breath test revealed that he had 55 microgrammes (mg) of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 mg.
