A HEREFORDSHIRE fare dodger has been ordered by a court to pay hundreds of pounds after getting on a train without a ticket.
Lisa Marie Smith was proven guilty of one count of boarding a train in a non-compulsory ticket area without a valid ticket, contrary to railway bye-law, by magistrates in Bristol last month.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 35-year-old had entered a First Great Western train for the purpose of travelling at Bristol Parkway station on January 16.

She was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £180 and an £88 victim surcharge, which is used to help find services supporting victims of crime.
She did not attend the hearing in person and was not represented by a solicitor.
