A MOTHER and daughter were found dead in a Herefordshire town within days of each other, with an inquest and an investigation opened into their deaths.
Theresa Harvey's body was found in the river at the Rope Walk in Ross-on-Wye on April 4, with her daughter Laura Debra Harvey's body having been discovered just two days earlier at their home in the town's Orchid Close.
On April 2, when Laura Harvey's body was found, police launched a missing person appeal for Theresa Harvey, saying they were concerned about her welfare.
Two days later, she was found dead in the river Wye, prompting a large-scale emergency operation involving two ambulances, an air ambulance, the fire service, police and crime scene investigation.

An inquest will be held into the death of Theresa Harvey, and an investigation has been opened into the death of Laura Harvey.
This means that the coroner will hold a hearing to determine Theresa Harvey's cause of death, while more analysis needs to be done to investigate Laura Harvey's death before considering whether an inquest will be held.
Laura Debra Harvey was 44 years old, and her mother Theresa Harvey was 68.
