A HEREFORD restaurant is promising to "redefine the Hereford dining scene" with a new chef at the helm.

Hereford native and chef Lewis Clements has joined the team at Bridge 14 in Hereford's Bridge Street as a new business partner.

The Hereford diner and restaurant, near Hereford's Left Bank, opened in May 2023, offering meals, sweet treats, and more.

And now Mr Clements will be bringing his wealth of experience and passion for Herefordshire to the table, with a 20-year background in catering and hospitality.

Norma Blake, the investor behind Bridge 14, said she was excited about the new direction the restaurant is taking with Mr Clements at the helm,

"At Bridge 14, our sole aim is to craft exceptional meals using the freshest seasonal ingredients sourced from local suppliers, prepared with utmost care and attention," said Mr Clements.

The restaurant will also have a focus on sustainability, with measures including recycling coffee grounds, using peelings and trimmings, and serving meals in biodegradable, reusable, or recyclable packaging.

Mr Clements is also promising a new menu and "unforgettable experiences" that "promise to redefine the Hereford dining scene" as he takes up the reins.

"Starting this spring, we have unique ticketed events that Hereford has never seen before," he said.

Ms Blake said the business started with a bang, earning five-star reviews and food hygiene ratings.

"I am excited to support such incredible talent in the culinary industry," she said.
