FLOOD warnings have been issued in Herefordshire following heavy rainfall

The Environment Agency says river levels are rising at the Bishops Frome river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible this afternoon/evening (February 22) near the A4103.

The agency is advising people to move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety.

There was previously a flood warning in place for the Brimfield Brook, with levels rising at the Orleton Millbrook Way river gauge. However, that has since been removed.

Meanwhile, over the Worcestershire border, there is a flood warning for the river Teme at Stanford Bridge, which affects the properties and roads in that area.

The Environment Agency says it is closely monitoring the situation and is working with the local authorities. Further updates will be updated, it added.
