A SECOND Herefordshire school is now closing due to flooding.

One school has already announced it is closed today due to treacherous roads.

But now a second, Stoke Prior Primary School, has announced it will also be closing.

A school spokesperson said the school will be closing at noon today (February 22) due to floodwater affecting travel on local roads.

Pencombe Primary School announced this morning that it would be closed to pupils today due to treacherous road conditions.

Roads across Herefordshire have been hit by flooding today, with roads in the Bromyard, Ledbury, and Leominster areas particularly badly hit.

The A438 has been closed by flooding near Alexander Park, while there are several areas of deep floodwater on the A465 and A44, among other affected roads.
