TWO people were taken to hospital after separate crashes in Hereford. 

Both the police and ambulance service were called to Ryelands Street at around 3.20pm yesterday (Sunday). 

At least two vehicles were involved in the crash, with a man treated at the scene for minor injuries before being taken to Hereford County Hospital.

Motorbike crash

Later the same day, emergency services were called to the A465 in Belmont, near Haywood Lane. The crash, which happened at around 5.05pm, involved a motorbike and a car. 

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "On arrival, we discovered one patient, a man in his 30s, who was the motorcyclist.

Serious injuries

"He was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Hereford County Hospital."

Two fire engines were also called, with crews making the vehicles safe before the road was allowed to be reopened.
