I READ with interest the piece in this week’s edition about litter bins not being collected in Leominster (Dismay as litter bins get too full, January 18).
Sadly, the problem is not restricted to that town as this is becoming an increasing problem in Hereford too.
What are your thoughts?

Letters should not exceed 250 words and local issues take precedence.
Given that litter bin collection is paid through council tax, I hope that, unlike in Leominster, councillors in Hereford do not pass the buck and blame the company to which this is outsourced.
I urge Hereford councillors to take responsibility and do something urgently to address this growing public health issue, which is also a terrible eyesore.
