A HISTORIC church that has been converted into a home is for sale in Herefordshire.

The conversion, in Bartestree under five miles from Hereford, is on the market for £600,000.

It has two bedrooms and an open-plan design, as well as a good-sized garden and a stone-paved patio.

The Right Move listing for the property says: "Rescued from neglect, the church built in 1888 was sensitively converted by the local firm Mason Architects. The intimate scale of the small parish church has aligned perfectly with the creation of a peaceful home with underfloor heating throughout. Beyond the sweep of its stone arches and timber truss roof, the property offers a contemplative retreat set amid private gardens."

The listing also describes each part of the conversion. It says that the original double oak doors open into the porch, and a stone Gothic arch frames the collection box, which is still attached to the wall.
