A WOMAN caught out on the roads near Hereford's police station while more than four times the drink-drive limit will be sentenced later this month.

Alice Adcock entered a guilty plea to one count of driving a motor vehicle while over the alcohol limit when she appeared before magistrates in December.

The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 47-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Matt Lewis, had been caught out in Hereford's Gaol Street after getting behind the wheel of a silver Peugeot 406 while over the drink-driving limit on November 12.

An evidential breath test revealed that she had 154 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than four times the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be carried out by the probation service and Adcock, of Herberts Hill, Llangarron, was released on bail ahead of her next hearing with an interim disqualification from driving.

She will appear before magistrates in Hereford for sentencing on January 16.
