Tripadvisor's top five best pizza places in Hereford

After reviewing Leaven Pizza in Broad Street earlier in the year, I realised that Hereford has an abundance of high-quality restaurant where you can indulge in the classic Italian dish.

Here are TripAdvisors top five pizza places in the city.

Rating: Four out of five, with 114 out of 164 reviews rating it as excellent or very good.

What customers said: “We live in Hereford and go to Cotto often as a family as we all absolutely love their pizzas.

“We've tasted pizzas all over the world and I can honestly say nothing beats Cottos. My 7-year-old daughter will always choose to go here if we give her the choice too. They also do lovely cocktails. This time we also had starters of scallops wrapped in Parma ham and fresh tomato bruschetta both of which were absolutely delicious.

“The interior decor is gorgeous, modern with Italian vibes.

“I highly recommend a visit whether you're local or a visitor you won't be disappointed.”

Papa Johns came in fourth. 4. Papa Johns, Commercial Road

Rating: 4.5 out of five, with 7 out of 8 reviews rating it as excellent or very good.

What customers said: “Me and the wife decided to have a pizza for a change it was between dominoes and Papa Johns so we went for Papa Johns.

“Absolutely lovely we had the biggest pizza you can get with half meat feast and a half of wine.

“He said it would be with us in half an hour and it did exactly.

“It was roasting hot. I thoroughly enjoyed it.”

What customers said: “Server was attentive and took our order straight away, pizzas and sides arrived in quick time.

“Have to say that my meal was excellent, freshly cooked sourdough pizza with a generous topping and truffle fries as a side - I thought good price at £15 all in.

“I would definitely recommend Leaven Pizza in the competitive destination of Hereford where there are many places to eat out.

“On settling the bill, I mentioned to the Server how good our meal was and that I will be back soon with other friends and family.

“I hope that the restaurant takes off and Herefordians enjoy their delicious fresh pizzas.”

What customers said: “Went here for a birthday and anniversary celebration with my family and the food was so good.

“The pizzas are huge and the starters are so yummy. The starters aren't great for sharing as they're small portions, so I'd recommend them individually or between two people. I had the Primevera pizza and omg it was so tasty I absolutely loved it. I couldn't finish it in the restaurant due to the large portion but you're able to get a takeaway box to eat later.

“Our server for the night was also incredibly friendly and funny, she definitely added to our amazing experience.”

What customers said: “It was lovely, my hubby had a pizza which he devoured and I had a salad with super smooth hummus, tasty dressing and minty falafels.

“The staff could not have been more friendly, putting some blue cheese as an extra on my salad and chilli sauce as an extra on my hubby’s pizza.

“It was so pleasant sitting in the corner with the fan on, we were very relaxed, well fed and wishing we were local so we could come again.”
