BING Crosby famously dreamt of a White Christmas; however, anyone wishing to see snow in Herefordshire on December 25 looks set to be disappointed.
The long-term weather forecast provided by the BBC shows light rain in the county, with temperatures ranging between five and eight degrees Celsius.
Although there have been plenty of occasions of snowflakes falling in the UK over the years, there have only been four years where there has been widespread snow lying on the ground in the past 62 years - in 1960, 1981, 2009, and 2010.

According to the bookmakers, Glasgow is the city most likely to see the white stuff on Christmas Day at 2/1.
However, closer to the home, it is far less likely with odds for Birmingham at 7/1, and Cardiff at 9/1 respectively.
The Met Office defines it being a white Christmas if just one snowflake falls during anytime on December 25 anywhere in the UK.
