FATHER Christmas has had to postpone its route in Hereford tonight (December 14).

Hereford Lions Club was due to visit the Tupsley and St James areas of the city.

However, the charity confirmed that the sleigh failed in Whittern Way at the start of the journey. A new date will now be rescheduled.

Starting last Saturday (December 9), the sleigh has been travelling through various areas of the city, as well as surrounding villages.

It was also in High Town in the centre all day yesterday (December 13).

Tomorrow (December 15), people in Hinton, Lower Bullingham and Saxon Gate can see Santa before the sleigh moves on to nearby Newton Farm and Abbotsfield the following night (December 16).

The penultimate evening (December 17) will be in Stretton Sugwas and Credenhill, with the last night being Bobblestock, Westfields and Kings Acre on Tuesday (December 19).
