A MET Office weather warning has been issued for Herefordshire tomorrow.

The yellow weather warning for wind is set to remain in force from 9am to 11.45pm tomorrow (December 9).

The Met Office said that strong winds will affect Wales, the midlands, and parts of North and East England.

Some delays to road and rail transport in the county are said to be likely, with some train and bus journeys taking longer. Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges are also probable.

The forecaster warned that some short-term loss of power and other services is possible.

Tonight (December 8) will be mostly dry with some clear spells this evening, but turning wet during the early hours of Saturday, with heavy rain developing by dawn. Breezy with temperatures remaining above freezing. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Tomorrow (December 9) will have a very wet start, with rain clearing northeastwards during the morning leaving a much drier afternoon. Some sunshine developing with just a few isolated showers. A windy but mild day. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Strong, gusty winds are expected on Sunday with frequent showery spells. Winds easing slightly but feeling less mild early next week, with showers continuing on Monday and Tuesday.
