A CONTROLLING and coercive man has been sent to the crown court for sentencing after monitoring a woman's movements with a tag in her car.
Max Haines entered guilty pleas to three counts of causing criminal damage, and one count of engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster in September.
The court heard from prosecutor Linda Gudjon that the 31-year-old had, without lawful excuse, intentionally or recklessly damaged a fridge, the glovebox of a car, and a wall belonging to a woman in Herefordshire on July 7.

He had also repeatedly or continuously engaged in controlling or coercive behaviour towards a woman in Herefordshire between August 1, 2020, and July 25, 2023, when he knew or ought to have known that his behaviour would have a serious effect on her, the court was told.
This included controlling her movements, monitoring her with a tag in her car, and causing her to feel harassed and fear for her safety.
The case was sent to the crown court for sentencing and Haines, of Cornmill Close, Pershore, was remanded in custody.
He will appear before Worcester Crown Court for sentencing on October 13.
