OUR diligent Leominster Town Council obtained a generous grant for the Heritage Action Zone to enhance the historic town for us all who live here and shopkeepers and tourists.
The Conservative Party amply profited from this by having their Rankin Club re-roofed and new fenestration.
Now our MP Sir Bill Wiggin (remember him?) is calling for Herefordshire Council to cancel the rest of the plan, the pedestrianisation of Corn Square.
Does he not know that the town is amply provided with car parks a few steps away from Corn Square?
The small businesses and people who live here voted for and welcomed the pedestrianisation of Corn Square.
