FREE broadband has come to a church in Herefordshire for the use of local people.
ST Mary’s church in Ross-on-Wye has been given free broadband for use by the community. The broadband has been provided to the church free of charge by internet service provider Be Fibre, and can be used by the community for groups, clubs, and schools in the local parish.
Mark Sanderson, churchwarden and director of digital ministry of St Mary’s church, said: “The local parish is delighted with the recent broadband connection supplied by Be Fibre. The church is used by various local groups and after school clubs every day of the week and the addition of the broadband connection will provide a great service to the community.”

We are passionate about having a positive impact in the areas we’re working in, and St Mary’s church is a great example of us being able to help the local community with our services. We’re thrilled to be able to support them, and ensure they continue to thrive.”
Be Fibre has pledged to support the church and church hall with a free broadband connection for the next 12 months, as well as plans to invest in more community initiatives in Ross-on-Wye.
The church also recently installed a defibrillator on its grounds.
