THREE-WAY traffic lights have left cars queueing for more than a mile on a busy route on the outskirts of Hereford.
The temporary traffic lights have appeared on the B4224 in Mordiford, at the junction with the Dormington road.
But at 9am this morning, traffic was queueing for a mile from the south, with the tailbacks going as far as Holme Lacy Bridge and much of the way along the Causeway towards Hereford.

Traffic was also queueing on the approach to the traffic lights from Hampton Bishop and southbound from Fownhope.
According to Herefordshire Council, the lights have been put in place for Welsh Water works.
The work permit is in place until 11.59am on Wednesday (March 29).
It is not the first time temporary traffic lights in the area have caused huge delays.
In September, a three-way system was put in place in Mordiford while Cadent worked to sort a local gas network issue that caused hundreds of homes to be cut off in Mordiford, Hampton Bishop, Holme Lacy, and Priors Frome.
