AN ACCUSED Herefordshire man has been sent to the crown court over child porn allegations.

Damien Lucas appeared before a district judge in Kidderminster in February accused of six counts of making indecent photographs of children, one count of attempting to arrange the commission of a child sex offence, and one count of distributing an indecent photograph of a child.

The court heard from prosecutor Shawn Williams that the 36-year-old is accused of possessing 114 category A, 58 category B, and 270 category C indecent images of children in Birmingham on June 23, 2021, and 85 category A, 101 category B, and 279 category C indecent images of children in Leominster on February 28, 2023.

OTHER NEWS:

Lucas, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Edmund Middleton, is also accused of distributing an indecent category B image of a child in Leominster on October 26, 2022.

He is further accused of attempting to arrange or facilitate the rape of a child under the age of 13 on October 26, 2022.

The case was sent to the crown court and Lucas, of New Street, Leominster, was remanded in custody.

He will appear before Worcester Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on March 29.
