CONDITIONS have been removed from a Hereford man's criminal behaviour order after he admitted using intimidating behaviour towards a staff member at a Hereford gambling shop.

Aaron Newton entered a guilty plea to one count of breaching a criminal behaviour order when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford for trial in February.

Hereford Times:

The court heard from prosecutor Paul John that the 40-year-old had, without reasonable excuse, used intimidating behaviour towards a staff member at Merkur Slots in Hereford's Commercial Street on October 9, which he was prohibited from doing by a criminal behaviour order imposed by magistrates in Hereford on September 22, 2021.

The order imposed in 2021 bars him from swearing or using aggressive, intimidating behaviour whether drunk or otherwise, and throwing any objects at any person or vehicle, or obstructing any vehicle, by standing or remaining in the road or other carriageway to prevent its free passage or movement.

OTHER NEWS:

It also prohibits him from causing a nuisance for any medical staff in any public place or place to which the public have access on payment or otherwise when they are attending to member of the public who are in need to medical attention, and from refusing to leave any private or public building he has entered with or without express permission when requested by the person in charge of that premises at that time.

Newton, of Whitecross Road, Hereford, was fined £50, ordered to pay costs of £50, and his criminal behaviour order was varied.

The first and second prohibitions on the original order were removed, and the order now contains two prohibitions as follows:

  • Causing a nuisance for any medical staff in any public place or place to which the public have access on payment or otherwise when they are attending to members of the public who are in need of medical attention.
  • Refusing to leave any private or public building which you have entered with or without express permission when requested by the person in charge of that premises at that time.
