A HEREFORD man has been found guilty of an offence against a child at trial.

Edward Jones appeared before magistrates in Hereford for trial in November accused of one offence after entering a not guilty plea at an earlier hearing in August.

The court heard from Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor Andrew Mitchinson that the 56-year-old was accused of wilfully assaulting, ill-treating, neglecting, abandoning, or exposing a child in a manner likely to cause her unnecessary suffering or injury to health in Belmont, Hereford, on April 3.
