"The Rose and Lion was always my 'local' and I went on to work at the Rose and Lion for six years, so I have a bit of a soft spot for the pub," said Ms Bull.

The pub has recently undergone a refurbishment.

It has been painted, floors have been deep cleaned and buffed, and new curtains have been hung.

"It has had a general refresh to make it feel rejuvenated, but not to change it too much as it was a lovely pub already," she said.

OTHER NEWS:

"We still have things we'd like to do, but for now the focus has been to reopen the pub and to welcome customers back."

The pair are planning to have catering from local food vendors once a month to give Bromyard a bit of variety and to also encourage those who perhaps would not normally visit the pub.

"We are extremely excited about summer as we have a beautiful beer garden and the facilities for an outdoor bar, which we plan to take full advantage of," said Ms Bull.

They also hope to start showing live sport, as well as hosting regular live music.

Currently there is not the set up for a kitchen, but the couple hope to offer the old traditional Sunday food on the bar for locals.

In the meantime, they will be building up a selection of bar snacks.

The faces people should expect to see behind the bar will Ms Bull and Mr Carr, and manager Hollie Mcnamara, who has worked at the Rose and Lion for numerous years.

"I'm sure there'll be lots of others that will appear as the months go on," said Ms Bull.
