A truck company has said its move to a new depot site demonstrates its long-term commitment to the local area.

West Pennine Trucks has announced that it will move its Knighton depot from Station Road to Ludlow Road, with the relocation on schedule to be completed by early 2023.

The new site, less than a mile from Pennine’s current location, will include additional workshop space, the ability to stock a larger variety of parts, provide modern driver facilities and improve driver accessibility with extra parking and space to manoeuvre vehicles.

Steve Howard, managing director of West Pennine Trucks, said: “We’ve outgrown our current location and I’m delighted to be able to commit to the transport and logistics community of Mid Wales by providing them with a depot fit for the future.

According to Pennine, the Knighton depot provides local businesses with technical expertise from its on-site technicians, a comprehensive parts operation, new and used vehicle sales as well as repair and maintenance packages.
