The couple moved to the area in early 2021, after running shops in Stroud in Gloucestershire.

The shop sells a wide variety of products including clothing, scented candles, bespoke stationery, glassware and much more.

A post on the shop's Facebook page describes it as "full of juicy goodness with a side serving of yum."

The couple moved to the town 18 months ago and have been waiting for the perfect place to become available ever since.

When antiques experts War and Son moved from the unit in Drapers Lane to a new shop in Broad Street, they saw it as a perfect opportunity.

Mrs Powell said: "When this unit became available it was too good to miss.

"It's a great space, right in the heart of town with lots of other independent businesses all around us.

Mrs Powell said that they have been made to feel incredibly welcome while they have been fitting out the shop.

She said: "We've had lots of people coming in to see what's going on and when we are opening and everyone has been really friendly. Hopefully they keep coming once we are open."

Mrs Powell said that she was struck on how people in the town work together to make sure small independent businesses thrive alongside each other.

"Leominster has such a great independent spirit and all the businesses work together along with the council to make the town better.

"We've seen for ourselves how loyal customers are in Leominster to their local shops.

"We've fallen in love with the town and we cant wait to get started."

Motif opens in Drapers Lane on Thursday, July 28.
