AN ASSAULT and theft accused Herefordshire man has been sent for trial.
Dean John Ludlow denied two charges when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford by video link from HMP Berwyn, where he is currently on remand.
The court heard the 50-year-old is accused of stealing goods including alcohol from the Co-op supermarket in Hay-on-Wye on November 29.

He is also accused of assaulting a woman by beating in Kington on February 18.
Ludlow, who appeared before magistrates wearing a grey jumper and joggers, was sent for trial before magistrates later this year.
