A HEREFORDSHIRE man has been handed a five-year restraining order after harassing a woman with abusive messages.
Anant Chauhan entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford at an earlier hearing.
The court heard the 46-year-old had pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a woman in Hereford between June 9 and November 24, sending her a number of messages accusing her of drug-taking and containing personal abuse.

Chauhan, of St Michael's Close, Kingstone, was handed a five-year restraining order banning him from contacting or visiting the victim and a 12-month community order. He must also pay costs of £160 and a £95 victim surcharge.
