A DRUG-DRIVER has been banned from the roads after he was caught in the early hours of the morning on a busy Hereford main road.
Adam Grist admitted drug-driving when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
Prosecutor Mark Hambling said Grist had been stopped behind the wheel of a Nissan Note by police in Hereford's Belmont Road at 2am on December 13.
Grist was asked to take a roadside drug test and was arrested after it returned a positive result for cannabis.
An evidential blood test taken in custody at Hereford police station revealed he had 2.4 microgrammes of cannabis metabolite delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood. The legal limit is two.

The court heard there were no aggravating features to the incident and that Grist, who has no previous convictions, was simply caught in a routine stop and check.
George Cousins, for 21-year-old Grist, said he did not think he could add much to what had already been said.
Grist, of Fountains Close, Hereford, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £230. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £34 victim surcharge.
